Forever Mine The Moreno Brothers edition by Elizabeth Reyes Contemporary Romance eBooks

I love this whole series. I originally bought the Moreno Brothers series in 2011 and thoroughly enjoyed reading them then.
Recently I had my 18 year old daughter read this book when she asked me if I knew of any that I thought she might enjoy.
Well she couldn't get enough of it and now I'M in the process of rereading the whole series.
I love this author. She has nailed the lives of teenagers as if she is one minus the immaturity that so many YA novels have.
There is underage drinking and love making in this book though without description. I don't have a problem with this. It is 100% accurate for the majority of 17 year olds to early 20's of today. I saw some reviewers were upset by this. Fact of life folks get over it. At least this author had designated drivers and the characters practiced safe sex. I thought that was a great touch personally. Rather than preaching DON'T and have teenagers defy, which they do best, the Author gives the alternative that if your going to indulge then atleast act responsible.
The love story of Angel and Sarah is great and again I'm glad they behaved with maturity. The backround relationships between Alex and Valerie and Eric and Sofie really grab the reader and make you want to read their own stories. I have already read the series so I can speak on their behalf and say they all rock but I am partial to Sofia and Erics book. Sooo good. Read them all!

Forever Mine The Moreno Brothers edition by Elizabeth Reyes Contemporary Romance eBooks Reviews

This is the book that got me hooked on the Moreno Brothers series. I love them all, but this is my favorite! It has an amazing happily ever after that continues with a short novella in one of the later books.

Angel Moreno, one of those popular handsome-as-sin Moreno boys, meets transfer student Sarah their senior year of high school. He is instantly enraptured with the shy runner who wants nothing more than to return home to Arizona. She has no intention of making friends and certainly no need for a boyfriend. But Angel is an alpha male who worships her and before long they are going out on dates and making out to the point where Sarah wonders how she can ever make herself leave him. It takes a misunderstanding for them to part, but circumstances keep pushing Sarah back to California and eventually back into his arms again. True love and lust won't be denied.

This book is sweet, amazing, sexy, and cute all at the same time. It's here that we meet the characters from future books, especially Angel's friend Romero and Eric, who have their own books eventually. While this is my favorite book in the series, I want to point out that Romero will become one of the most well developed characters in the series. He is funny, sweet, gorgeous and just a little bit goofy.

I was lucky enough to get this book for free, but would have gladly purchased it again and again just to have it in my library.
I downloaded this as a freebie yesterday, and have just finished reading it. Let me start by saying, I am an adult with grown children, but I do like good YA books at times, and I will not pass up a book that sounded as good as this.

I'm going to start by saying that I thought the character development was fantastic, they came alive for me. New shy girl meets wonder-boy they fall in love, she lies, they break up, he forgives her and they get back together.

My problem, my serious big issue with this book, the reason that it is a three star rating and not a 4 or 5, is because I do not like Angel. Through the book, the word protective, possesive and jelous get tossed around.

At one point in time, Sarah is standing by a car with Angel's sister Sophie, wracked with nerves about how Angel is going to react to the fact that there are a bunch of guys around. The attitude that guys and girls can not be friends. The fact that even near the end of the book, she is lying to Angel about the fact that she and Syd talk every day on the phone, only brings one word to mind; Controlling.

I don't see their relationship as a healthy one or a positive one. I don't think her lying is much better, but nobody seems to have a problem with Angel being so controlling. They toss around possesive and jealous like it's a cute, quirky trait.

Although I disliked the domineering aspect of Angel, I did like the story, and will read Alex's and Sophia's stories both. I would recommend this book, but to be honest I'm not sure I would want my teenage daughters reading it and thinking that their relationship was "OK."
Forever Mine was a great read. I laughed a lot while reading this book and I will be reading the next book in the series. Sarah's mother has to do time in jail, leaving Sarah to spend time with her step-aunt and cousin Veronica. Angel wants more from Sarah than he has from any other female. He believes guys and girls can't just be friends and when Sarah hears him say this she refuses to tell him her best friend Sydney is a guy and that she's determined to go back home and live with Syd and his family. Angel finds out exactly who Syd is and he ends up hurt and pissed yet when Sarah's life is in jeopardy Angel by the school coach it's Angel who saves her but in order to move forward he has to forgive her for the lies first. I enjoyed Angel and Sarah's story and I can't wait to read more.
If you're looking for deep, romantic story telling or in depth story telling, this book is not for you. If you're looking for a light read to pass the time and not make you think too much, this book is for you.
I read many of the reviews before reading this and from some of the lower rated ones, I expected a few parts that I would maybe have to just skim through due to the sexual content. I was surprised to find that the intimate scenes were not really that intimate at all. The book alluded to it more than described it. I'm not a big fan of overly graphic sex scenes in YA books, but I didn't really find these offensive at all.
Worth the read, I'd probably say for age 15+.
